A PRAYER TO THE UNKNOWN
May I have
Enough trial to keep me going
Not through dilly-dallying wishy-washy ways
But through the deep gorges
And ravines to reach the valley of life
Where there is enough challenge
To keep me going
Till I rest my head
On a rock of fire
Put me through anything
To emerge strong as tempered steel
And not base solid gold.

There will always be moments of
wrath and humiliation
hurts and mistakes
limitations and tears
portion of pain
and burden of care
which when
met and borne
with courage and patience
leaves no place for
disillusionment.

Give me the pain that hurts you
Give me the hurt that eats you
Give me the misery that wrings you
Give me the despair that dooms you
Give me the agony that pains you
Give me the sufferings that silence you
Give me, give me
Give me your woes
And in its stead
Take my joy
Take my hope
Take my happiness
Take my armour
Take all the good cheers
Of a winsome heart
And feel the difference !!

DE-BUGGED
Drugged
I looked around
The eyes would not move
I lifted my hand
I could not reach
I wanted to run
My limbs would not budge
I saw annoying movements around me
I wanted to get away
Into oblivion
Away from life
I closed my drugged eyes...
Un-drugged
I discovered LIFE
And I lived !
