ENGLISH ESSAY Class 3

The name of my village is Malancha. It is under Basirhat Police Station in the 24 Parganas (North). It is a large village. There are about three hundred families living here. The main occupation is fishing and agriculture. There are many large fisheries that supply fishes to the local markets in town. There is a big fish market here too. Fishes like hilsa, pompret and prawns are auctioned and sent to various markets in the city. The main mode of transport is bus and train. There are two banks, a local police station and a post office. The people of the village are very honest and hard working. There is a hospital that takes care of those who fall ill. Nowadays many renowned doctors visit the village and are working hard to improve the hospital. The air is clean and lots of fresh vegetables are available here. People here are very nice and friendly. I love my village.
